iSe.GG Core

Those that take up the role of expansion have a pretty tough responsibility. Unlike those in the recruitment role, these individuals determine opportunities for the organization to expand into that will be worthwhile. This usually includes games, and or platforms that we should expand into. Those that specialize in expansion work directly with those that specialize in recruitment as once we expand into a new game or platform, it’s up to the recruitment specialists to coordinate with the expansion specialist to successfully expand into the game or platform.

Required skillsets usually include attention to detail, use of good judgment when it comes to trends, and a willingness to take leaps of faith when it comes to expanding into potentially difficult games or platforms.

The marketing role is extremely critical, as these specialists work directly with our social media specialists to ensure we get our name out there. Indirectly, these specialists also work with the expansion and recruitment specialists as its often difficult to successfully recruit and build a division if people haven’t heard of the community they’re recruiting for.

Recruitment specialists work directly most times with expansion specialists, especially in the beginning stages of forming a brand new section of the community. These specialists will often monitor and create recruitment posts that are approved by marketing specialists, while actively recruiting new players inside the game they are working on. This is an extremely critical role as it helps us grow as a community, and by growing as a community, we are able to accomplish more as a community.

Responsible for handling all of our social media accounts, and working directly with the marketing specialists to ensure we’re targeting the right audience when it comes to recruitment of new players, teams, or partners. Those in this role will also work on creative ways to engage those that follow our social media through a number of different techniques.

Probably one of the most integrated roles within our organization, the business development role. Specialists in this role are responsible for two primary functions.

  • Reach out and secure partnerships and sponsorships for our organization so that we can provide bigger and better incentives to our community as a whole.
  • Maintain the relationship with the existing partnerships and sponsorships, while ensuring that we are mutually beneficial to each other, and if needed, coordinating adjustments to what is offered by either side to maintain a mutual balance.

This role and its success are often directly affected by the success and or failures of the expansion, marketing, recruitment, and social media specialists.

iSe.GG Game Specific

The manager role is one of the most challenging roles at its level, as those that become managers are responsible for ensuring the success of that particular section of the community. Those in this role are typically responsible for reviewing incident reports, admin applications, conducting interviews, ensuring admins are meeting the requirements for their role, and ensuring that we are doing what we can to ensure the complete success of that section.

The admin role certainly can be a challenging, and sometimes stressful role to be in. Those in this role are on the front lines dealing with the community directly in-game, and sometimes need to make quick decisions on situations based on the information, and evidence that they have at their disposal. It’s also important that those in this role communicate things they need to the management of their section so that we can ensure you have the tools necessary to efficiently handle your responsibility, whether it be access to more complex logs, tools, or abilities and functions. Many times this role will also involve dealing with hostile users, but we have over time amended the terms of service to try and prevent this from being a situation admins have to deal with.

The VRChat Support closely resembles that of an in-game admin but will be more focused around support related functions for users encountering issues with the app itself. Seeing as this game doesn’t really require any admin specific functions yet, and with the release of advanced new virtual reality headsets, we understand there may be some learning curves or problems on the various configurations with various related functions. This is definitely more of a technical role, and those applying for this role should have experience not only with virtual reality headsets but also general troubleshooting skills.

iSe.GG Development

We are actively seeking those that have existing knowledge, or an interest in learning Unity, as we have a lot of plans and projects involving this platform and game engine. This may include both standalone applications, as well as projects involving VRChat when it comes to world design, and possibly avatar design in the future. Standalone applications will mostly include projects that will be applicable for the Steam store, and most likely free to play with in-game monetization at the beginning stages, with more complex and pay to play standalone projects.

We are seeking individuals that have knowledge with Lua, or a willingness to learn, to help support our FiveM and RedM communities through development. We aren’t ones to reinvent wheels, so a large percentage of this role will be looking at existing code created by somebody else, and rewriting pieces of it to resolve bugs, glitches, exploits, or just nonfunctional portions of the plugin.

As we continue to grow as an organization, we now have a growing demand for individuals that have experience with Python, specifically surrounding Discord related projects. We’re regularly finding bots, and other services available to the Discord community that simply lack key features, stability, or in some cases projects that have been abandoned by its original developer. We would like to start taking on projects and depending on the project, may provide funding for said project and its operational budget. Projects involving Python and Discord will be on a case by case basis and decided by the management team on a wide spectrum of focuses.

iSe.GG Other

As we continue to expand, we have a need for a graphics designer or two, to assist with logo creation, marketing material, and content to be used in combination with game development related functions. This position would be ideal for someone just starting out, or someone that’s experienced.

We have a need for an individual video editing specialist, that can on an as-needed basis work with in-game footage, cut it down, and firm it up so it’s ready to be visible on in-game loading screens, and or the website. In the long term, we may be looking to build a team to help manage our youtube channel, as well.
